A Venus flytrap with its green, toothed lobes open is shown in a close-up as a small, brown snail crawls onto the inner surface of one lobe. The plant's lobes then rapidly snap shut around the snail, trapping it between the interlocking spines. The scene is set against a dark background with bright green foliage.
