Update. Menu, passwords and counters

We have updated the main menu in the web version:  - removed unnecessary items;  - eliminated «Show more» section;  - «Hot» is now «Popular»;  - the «Random» feed has been moved to «Popular»;  - combined «Coub of the Day», «Coub of the Week», and «Best of the Year» into a single section called «Best сoubs»;  - In «Best of the Year» you can now view coubs from previous years (we have merged «Popular» and «Hidden Gems» into one feed; we'll come up with collections a little later) - «Favorites Channels» can now be found in «Who to Follow» and this section is undergoing changes (most likely, we'll separate it into authors/thematic channels); - removed «Featured» and «Coub of the Day» from the community list.

You can log into your existing account or create a new one again using your email and password. Old passwords are still valid. Remember to verify your email and age to access all platform features.

It is important that the statistical indicators of coubs and channels are calculated fairly and displayed correctly. Now, likes and dislikes can only be given to coubs from other coubers and only from one's own channel. This is a more equitable approach that helps prevent artificially inflated quantitative indicators. We have removed previously given likes and dislikes that were obtained through such methods, which accounted for approximately 3.5% of the total on the platform, as well as likes and dislikes from deleted users and banned channels, which amounted to an additional 2.6%. The new reaction model will enable us to introduce achievement mechanics on Coub in the near future, provide users with valuable statistics, and incorporate them into algorithms for personalized feeds.

The channel's view count now accurately represents the total number of views for coubs visible to all users, excluding views from banned and privately hidden coubs.

For Safari browser users, the ability to upload all media files (avatars, covers, videos in the editor) by clicking a button has been restored. We have also fixed the issue of infinite horizontal scrolling on the channel page.

Small improvements have been made: - if you have more than 4 channels, the list of channels during reposts is now displayed without errors; - the latest stories selected by our editorial team are now published at the end of the Stories section; - sound in embedded coubs on external websites is now enabled.

In our mobile apps, we have previously introduced updated Stories and a dislike counter for coubs. In the latest version (5.1.6), we have added password login and restored the «Featured» section in the menu. The ability to delete your own coubs has been restored, the number of fields in the profile has been reduced. Additionally, we have fixed several minor issues. The updated applications will be available in the coming days.
