Mobile Web
Coub finally has a version for mobile browsers! You can now share coubs, feeds, and stories with people who don’t have the Coub app installed. Sign-in is supported as well, so you can browse feeds, react, and leave comments.
New Home Feed
We’ve completely redesigned the
Home feed. It now shows only subscriptions from your active channel and takes your blocked authors into account.
On the website, the feed also includes a Show reposts toggle — turn it off to see only coubs from authors you follow. Like the rest of the site, the Home feed respects your Sensitive Content settings (turn them off if you want to see less of this type of content) and automatic title translation.
New channel directory
We’ve updated the
Who to follow directory with new channel cards showing key stats, and introduced three categories:
Top Creators — channels with the Editor’s Choice badge. The order changes several times a day and is shuffled as you scroll.
Thematic Channels — channels focused on specific topics, including both editorial repost channels and original creators.
Take a look — channels noticed by the editorial team. This includes both newcomers and interesting finds, with recently active channels shown first.
Top Creators Feed
n the Favorites section, there’s now a new main feed —
Top Creators, featuring all coubs from channels with the Editor’s Choice badge. Coubs previously selected by the editors have moved to the adjacent
Editor’s Choice tab.
Active creators now have a form in their channel settings to apply for the Featured badge. You can submit an application after meeting the required metrics, and the badge is awarded based on regular posting, quality content, and no violations or sensitive material. If your application is declined, you can reapply after 90 days.
Comments
We’ve updated comment moderation: new comments are now blocked less often, and you can include links to popular media platforms — making it easier to cite the source of a video or soundtrack.
Editor
We’ve disabled the ability to upload YouTube videos to the editor. Unfortunately, the number of platforms restricting access to their content keeps growing each year.
On the bright side, we’ve improved the logic for importing audio tracks from other coubs. Previously, the entire original track was imported, even if the creator had trimmed it, which caused us to store a lot of unused data. Now, only the audio you hear in the original coub is imported.
Channel Page
A three-dot menu has been added to the channel cover on the website. It now includes settings, a quick option to copy the channel link, and for other users’ channels, a button to block or unblock the channel owner.
A badge appears in the top-right corner if you’ve blocked the user.
Reminder: blocking prevents the user from liking or disliking your coubs, reposting, or commenting. Their coubs will also no longer appear in your Home feed. Blocking does not affect ranking feeds or chats.
Coub ban message
Now, banned coubs display a message on their page explaining the reason, just like in the email notification. We hope you never have to see it!
To view a banned coub’s page, simply click the ban notification in the bell — the clickable area is now more obvious.
Other fixes
We also fixed the email login bug, revamped the Random feeds, updated channel designs in the apps, and made search work from just two characters. On the web, channel cards now show stats in search results, and deletion of coubs and channels comes with clear confirmation dialogs. Plus, deleting a channel now frees up its address.
In 2026, we’ll continue optimizing the platform, introduce new feeds and features, expand thematic recoub challenges, and promote Shared Channels. Keep creating and watching coubs, reacting, and leaving comments! And under this story, we’re looking forward to your ideas, suggestions, feedback, and wishes. In loop we trust!
