The film focuses primarily on the relationship between Stuart Sutcliffe and John Lennon , and also with Sutcliffe's German girlfriend Astrid Kirchherr. Stuart Sutcliffe was the "Fifth in the Quartet" British artist and musician, bassist for The Beatles and friend of John Lennon. The film has won several prestigious film and music awards.
