A close-up of an eye with a purple iris fills the screen, then the view shifts to a young man with dark hair looking down, followed by a young woman with glasses smiling gently, then a title card with the word "Cry" and Japanese characters, then a close-up of a woman's face with her eyes closed, and finally a hand reaching out against a dark, cloudy background. The sequence takes place in a dimly lit, indoor setting with soft lighting and a somber mood.
