A group of meerkats stands alert on a red dirt mound in a dry, grassy landscape, with a young meerkat briefly sitting and then standing upright among the adults. The meerkats remain vigilant, scanning their surroundings with upright postures and occasional head turns, while the camera shifts between close-ups of individual faces and wider shots of the group.
