Two grebes perform an elaborate courtship display on a lake, running across the water's surface with their legs churning and wings flapping, creating large splashes, while their long necks are held high and their heads are tilted upward. The birds move in unison, sometimes side-by-side, sometimes one behind the other, against a backdrop of calm water and distant reeds.
