A character with pink hair and a red suit is seen in distress, clutching their head as if in pain, before the scene cuts to a massive explosion in a coastal area. The robot, identified as Evangelion Unit-02, is then seen lifting a large, damaged battleship out of the water, with the name "NERV" visible on its side.
