A soldier in a dark uniform runs across a grassy field while carrying a rifle, as a large plume of white smoke erupts from the ground behind him. The scene shifts to a wide shot of several artillery pieces in a field, then to a close-up of a mortar firing with a bright flash and smoke, while two figures crouch near a white building.
