A large warship is launched into the water from a slipway, with a crowd watching from the shore and workers on the deck; the scene shifts to a portrait of a bearded man in naval uniform, then to four naval officers standing on a ship's deck, followed by two men working on the hull of a ship, and finally to a warship at sea with its main guns visible.
