A male gymnast in a dark uniform runs toward the parallel bars, performs a vault, and lands on the mat, but he falls and tumbles backward onto the floor. The scene takes place in a large indoor arena with spectators in the stands and a banner indicating the 25th Annual World Gymnastics Championship.
