A dark, elongated object streaks across a twilight sky, leaving a bright, glowing trail and a dark smoke plume, as a ground-based tracking system with a white dome rotates to follow its trajectory. The object ascends, then tumbles and breaks apart, with fragments continuing to burn and fall against the darkening horizon.
