Generations

A character is launched into the night sky from a rooftop, propelled by a beam of light, as a spider-like creature and debris fly upward. The scene cuts to a close-up of a determined young man with a scarred face, followed by a woman extending her arm, a hand reaching toward a fallen figure, and two characters gripping their swords, one unleashing a blue, wave-like energy attack.
