what's the matter?

A man with long hair and a beard rests his head on his hand, his eyes closed in a moment of contemplation or fatigue, as the lighting shifts from warm to cool and then to black and white before cutting to a red screen. The scene transitions to a blurry, low-light shot of a police car with flashing lights driving on a wet street at night.
