A woman with dark hair appears in a series of black and white close-ups, first shown in profile with her hair moving, then looking down with a cigarette in her mouth, covering her mouth with her hand, and turning her head to the side, all against a dark, indistinct background. The sequence includes a final extreme close-up of her eye, which is heavily made up and has a contact lens.
