What's happening

A customer in a black jacket stands at a store counter while a cashier in a blue hoodie and face mask handles a long, thin object, possibly a measuring tape, and then places it on the counter. The interaction takes place in a retail environment with shelves of products and a red bin of gloves visible below the counter.
