Raison d'être

A young man lies in bed, then sits up and looks out a window at a rainy, overcast sky, while a girl with purple eyes is seen looking in from outside. The scene shifts from a close-up of a red traffic light at a railway crossing to a view of the rainy window from inside a dimly lit room, where the man wakes up and moves to the window, and the girl appears outside, gazing in.
