Two gray cats are on a sunlit windowsill; one lies on its back while the other stands over it, repeatedly kneading its belly with its paws. The standing cat shifts its weight and position slightly, continuing to knead the other cat, which remains relaxed and occasionally blinks. The scene takes place indoors near a window with a view of buildings and a yellow fence outside.
