A chainsaw!!!

A manga panel sequence shows a character in a white robe being attacked by a monstrous, toothy creature with a long, segmented body, which lunges and wraps around the character. The scene shifts to a wide shot of a massive, dark, crystalline structure rising from the ground, surrounded by a crowd of onlookers, as the creature's body coils around it.
