A group of soldiers in uniform stand together, their expressions shifting from serious to shocked as one character holds up a piece of paper with a drawing, while another character's face is shown in a close-up inset; the scene transitions to a wide shot of the soldiers walking in formation, with a woman in a white dress standing in the distance against a sunset.
