why?

A close-up of a pink-haired anime character's eye fills the frame, reflecting light and showing a tear, before the scene cuts to a dark-haired male character in profile, then to a long-haired female character walking away on a bridge at night with a hand reaching out, followed by a smiling pink-haired character in a sunlit park, then a smiling dark-haired character looking at the pink-haired character, and finally a close-up of a blue-eyed character's eye reflecting light. The setting shifts from a dark, nighttime environment to a bright, sunlit outdoor space.
