Who was it?

A cartoon gnome with a blue hat and white beard sits at a wooden table, gesturing with his right hand, then looks down at the table where a plate and mug are present, before the scene cuts to a different gnome in a red shirt and yellow hat holding a small object, looking at it with a surprised expression. The setting is a warmly lit wooden interior, likely a cabin or house.
