Three men stand in a desert, bound together by a contraption of wires and a metal frame, with one man holding a device; they are pulled forward by the device as they move across the sand. The scene cuts to a group of five people in tattered clothing walking toward the camera in the same desert, with a large, rusted industrial structure in the background. The scene cuts back to the three men, now moving more rapidly, being pulled by the device as they stumble forward.
