Mario stands on a red platform in a stone-walled arena with a crowd, then falls backward off the platform. Donkey Kong appears on the platform, looks down, and then falls off the edge. The scene cuts to a close-up of Sulley from Monsters, Inc. with wide, red eyes in a dark, purple-lit environment. The sequence ends with a "Game Over" screen showing Mario lying on the ground, followed by a ghostly figure appearing above him.
