Stirred things up

A person holds a large, cylindrical object, resembling a rolled-up poster or paper, and repeatedly swings it downward in a room with a television and a cat. The cat, initially sitting on a surface, reacts by jumping back and moving away as the object is swung, eventually causing the cat to flee the scene.
