Tossed it in

A person in a light-colored jacket and hat swings an axe at a tree in a snowy, wooded area at night, causing snow and debris to fall. The scene cuts to a wide shot of several figures walking through the snow, then to a close-up of a snow-covered surface where a long, thin object lies on the ground, with a bright light source visible in the upper left corner.
