Liminal space

A first-person perspective moves down a dimly lit, narrow staircase with a wooden railing, approaching a doorway at the bottom that leads into a dark room, then turns and ascends the stairs back up. The setting is a narrow, poorly lit interior stairwell with tiled walls and a single overhead light.
