A shirtless boy in patterned shorts uses a scythe to cut grass in a field bordered by a wooden fence and a line of trees, with the camera view partially obscured by a wire mesh in the foreground. The scene repeatedly cuts between the boy working and wider shots of the mown field and surrounding landscape.
