Supernova

A white spaceplane ascends from the Earth's surface, leaving a trail of white smoke, then separates from its carrier aircraft and continues into the blackness of space with its engine firing. The scene begins with a forward-facing view from the spaceplane as it climbs, showing the curvature of the Earth below, and transitions to a side view of the vehicle in space, with the Earth visible in the background.
