A dark, blurry scene transitions to a black-and-white shot of a clock, then to a stop-motion puppet with large eyes and a wrinkled face, identified by on-screen text as George RR Martin from 1996, which remains in a fixed pose. The setting shifts from an indistinct dark environment to a dimly lit room with a clock and then to a plain background.
