A young girl in a yellow and white striped top and blue pants stands beside a tree with light-colored, peeling bark, bending down to peel a piece of the bark off the trunk with her right hand, then stands up and examines the piece in her hands. The scene takes place outdoors on a patch of grass and dirt scattered with fallen leaves.
