A young man with blonde hair appears in a series of five distinct scenes: first, he smiles while holding a pool cue in a pool hall; second, he looks dazed with a bruised face in a dimly lit room; third, he smiles confidently in a formal setting; fourth, he peers through foliage with a serious expression; fifth, he smokes a cigarette with a scar on his forehead under warm lighting. The sequence ends with a blurry, out-of-focus shot.
