A close-up of a dark-haired anime character's eye widens in shock, followed by a stylized white silhouette of the same character, then a shot of him with blood on his face, a black screen, a red-tinted image of him looking down, and finally a close-up of a red-haired character with a serious expression. The sequence takes place in a dark, undefined setting with dramatic lighting and color shifts.
