When will it wear off

A penguin in a sailor hat stands facing a cat, then hides in a box wearing a pirate eye patch, while the cat, also in a sailor hat, dons an eye patch and strikes a confident pose, before the penguin reappears looking sad. The scene takes place inside a brightly lit, blue-walled room with pipes and equipment.
