Sonic the Hedgehog stands on a wooden dock facing a blue bird-like character in a red hat, who is partially hidden behind a stack of crates; the scene cuts to a close-up of Sonic's face, then to a video game screen showing a boss character with a large head and a mechanical body, with game stats displayed in the corner.
