I'm a loser

A female character with short black hair and a pink skirt stands facing a male character with spiky white hair and a blue and orange outfit, who is in a low combat stance; the scene cuts to a close-up of the female character's face showing wide, terrified eyes and a tear, then to the male character's face with a determined expression, followed by a swirling white and purple energy effect, a dark tunnel-like vortex, and finally the male character standing in a dark environment with his hands raised, revealing a tattoo on his left arm.
