The COUB generation

A metal pipe is positioned between two large mechanical jaws, which close to clamp the pipe, causing a bright orange glow and sparks at the joint as the pipe is heated and joined. The jaws then open, revealing the fused pipe. The setting is an industrial workshop with heavy machinery.
