A firefighter in full gear stands on a hillside as a large fire whirl, or fire tornado, erupts from a burning field, hurling burning debris and smoke into the air. The fire whirl rises and expands, sending a cascade of embers and ash skyward while the firefighter observes the phenomenon from a distance.
